Mr Alex Wong Spoke on B&R and Xi’an

On 3 August, upon Tsuen Wan District Council’s invitation, Mr Alex Wong, CEO of MSRS gave a presentation to students who were about to embark on a study tour to Xi’an. The title of presentation was “Belt and Road Initiative and the Developments of Xi’an”.

With the goal to strengthen students’ understanding of Belt and Road and Xi’an, Mr Wong elaborated on fundamental concepts, territorial history, modern initiatives, supporting facilities, and personal experiences. Xi’an was transformed from a Silk Road cultural hotspot to modern Belt and Road development city, and became a formidable force in the Northwest region of China with growing support from economy, tech innovations, transportation, and more. In addition, he mentioned Hong Kong’s crucial role in the Initiative, such as being the “super connector” and financial investment platform, then explored ways for intercity collaboration with Xi’an as a united front. Lastly, Mr Wong provided an overview of MSRS’s “Xi’an Cultural Tour” held at the end of 2016. The students were able to learn about the city’s culture and industries from past experience.
