"The 5D Winning Formula - My Amazing Miniature Journey" Seminar & Guided Tour

The Operation Zhang Qian Alumni Network of the Maritime Silk Road Society organized the "The 5D Winning Formula - My Amazing Miniature Journey" activity on 15 October, which consisted of a seminar at the Sha Tin Town Hall and a guided tour to a miniature art exhibition at the New Town Plaza Sha Tin. Ms Carmen Poon, President of the Joyful Miniature Association and a veteran media professional in Hong Kong, was the speaker and docent.
Ms Poon and her team gave guided tours of the “CUHK 60th Anniversary Miniature Exhibition” and demonstrated how to appreciate the charm of miniature art. The miniature exhibition is organized by CUHK with the assistance of Joyful Miniature Association, presenting a collection of 50 exquisite artworks. Among the highlights are a magnificent 4.4-meter-tall illuminated “Gate of Wisdom”, an endearing mini CUHK school bus and colourful anniversary light boxes designed for delightful photo opportunities.
During the seminar, Ms Poon talked about how she embarked her journey on miniature art and challenges encountered. She shared the five keywords that she believed to be the essence of success: Dedication, Dream, Distinction, Determination and Difficulty. Using her personal experience as examples, she explained the importance of these five elements and how to apply them to overcome the obstacles of the developmental process in miniature art exhibitions. Ms Poon gave an account of the miniature art exhibitions held around the world and her achievements. To conclude the seminar, she gave an eight-point summary which encourages young people to hold on to their dreams.
