Chinese Painting and Calligraphy for Children Workshop (starting from February 2025)
The Intercultural Institute of Lefkada is organizing a Chinese Painting and Calligraphy for Children Workshop starting from February every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm. The workshop is held at café La Piazza in Agios Minas Square (Lefkada town), offering children from 6 years of age and above the opportunity to experience Chinese painting and calligraphy. The workshop was under the guidance of Professor Liu Xuejiao who taught the children how to paint and write characters on rice paper using writing brush and black ink. Through slow and controlled hand movements, the exercise helps participants to improve hand strength and hand-eye coordination. The workshop fee is 5€. Chinese New Year Dinner (29 January 2025)

With great joy and a large crowd, Intercultural Institute of Lefkada celebrated the Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake) on 29 January at Reef on the west coast. In this first symbolic event of 2025 for the Lefkada Intercultural Institute, members and friends learned to taste Chinese cuisine with using chopsticks, studied their zodiac sign in the Chinese horoscope and took home greeting cards.
