The office is located in the city centre of Athens. It felt just like working in Central, the Central Business District of Hong Kong, which was certainly an excellent opportunity for an internship. I was working as a marketing intern, and my job was mainly about companying clients to inspect their properties and producing marketing contents about the company’s property projects. Athens is a beautiful city carrying great historical values. I visited the Acropolis, Ancient Agora of Athens etc. In spite of the stunning scenery, I think this internship post requires students with high adaptability to new environment, good communication skills to deal with problems from clients and local colleagues. I personally experienced a few moves regarding the accommodation provided by the company. The locals might inform you about the housing and work arrangements just a day before or even at the last minute. Therefore, it was better to stay alert and be highly adaptive. One more thing was that it would be nice to ask the local colleagues about our schedules beforehand. Overall, the experience was unique and challenging. After all, I would say that I have become a more patient and flexible person now. It made me become tougher and stronger to be able to overcome more obstacles in my future life.
