This past summer, I was fortunate to have an internship at Euroterra Capital, a prominent real estate firm in Athens, Greece, facilitated by the Maritime Silk Road Society. As a second-year business major, I am immensely grateful for this international experience.
During my internship, I took on diverse responsibilities, primarily serving as an interpreter between Chinese investors and the Greek sales team. This role required strong language skills and cultural awareness for smooth cross-border negotiations. I also coordinated between sales, marketing, and property development teams, enhancing my multitasking and time management skills under tight deadlines. Overall, I gained hands-on experience in an international business environment and improved my cross-cultural communication abilities.
Beyond the professional aspect, my time in Greece deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity. Exploring ancient Athens and the islands enriched my understanding of different perspectives and ways of life. This immersion in Greek culture has broadened my worldview and fueled my desire to continue exploring diverse cultures. I'm grateful for the profound personal and professional growth I experienced during this internship.
