Statement : The National Security Law

Maritime Silk Road Society issued the following statement today (29 December):
- Support the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in interpreting the relevant provisions of the Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Safeguarding National Security.
- Respect the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in exercising its legitimate power to interpret the law.
- Clarify the legislative intent of the relevant provisions and make explicit provisions in this regard.
- To ensure that national security and the public interest are effectively protected through the interpretation of the law.
